Founded in 2023, Kovas's Legacy LLC provides private training tailored to the individual dog for dog owners seeking assistance in basic to advanced obedience training, modification of problem behaviors, and service dog assessment and training. Group training options are available for obedience titles. Periodically group meetups are organized at events such as baseball games, zoo outings, state park hikes, and light festivals so former and current client dogs may implement training in the community. Successful training is a Team Effort. At Kovas's Legacy, it is the role of the trainer to educate the dog owner and provide the guidance necessary for the owner to form a strong working relationship with the dog. The trainer utilizes Least Intrusive Minimally Aversive (LIMA) practices, but as a balanced trainer recognizes the effective role training tools have with some dogs. No single particular training method is effective for every single dog and Kovas's Legacy works with the owners to provide the best and safest training methods for each client and canine partnership.
