Through partnership with BurnsBerg Kennels in East Tawas, Michigan, Kovas's Legacy is honored to offer The Spirit's Passion Memorial Service Dog Program. Originally called The Huskies for Heroes Program, this collaboration has been renamed to honor the life and legacy of Burnsberg's Spirit's Passion, who earned her silver harness when she crossed the Rainbow Bridge February 2024 following complications from canine respiratory virus. Passion was the mother to Kovas's Legacy's own Prince Amarok, who began working as a seizure alert service dog in January 2020. She was also great-grandmother to Burnsberg's Fenrisulfr of Asgard, who works as a training canine in Kovas's Legacy's behavioral modification program.
